Sadly this ice cube hadn’t finished freezing properly by the time I started shooting my “Photo of the Day” this evening. It started to melt rapidly and it was getting late. I needed to get something “in the can” and then get off to bed.
I thought our freezer produced clearer looking ice than this, maybe it’s because it wasn’t fully frozen yet. I popped the ice cube onto the top of an upturned glass bowl with a flash behind it and a sheet of fabric to diffuse the light from the flash. I tried a few from further back, but settled on this closer shot as my favourite shot of about half a dozen.
I am hoping like crazy that I can get out somewhere over the weekend. I’m rather tired of creating all these “set up” shots around the house. I need fresh air and natural light.
