Project 365 – Day Three Hundred and Twenty Five – Filament

day 325

Just three days ago I shot a macro of a lightbulb filament whilst the bulb had power running through it. I thought I’d return to the lightbulb tonight, but with the power off.

I didn’t get quite as much detail as I was hoping for, and I think I should have focussed on the wire loop in the foreground rather than the one in the background.

Canon 7D, EF 100mm f2.8 macro, 1/60 at f29, cross-lit using two diffused speedlights.

    • It’s just my name for my “photo every day” as you guessed. It’s also the name of the Flickr group I post all the photos for the project to.

I started on April 1st 2010. It’s amazing how difficult it can be to come up with a photo idea some days, especially when I’m at work, or like this weekend when I have free time but the weather is awful. I am going to head out somewhere with my camera this afternoon but quite what I can shoot to good advantage in such grey and dismal weather I’m not sure :^)
